Oh, sorry I didn't reply...didn't see this.

Anyways.

Yeah, I have the same stuff and got it running with the graphics and the sound working.

The sound is the onboard so it should be the drivers for like the RTL888 or something like that. The GPU I have is the 8600 GTS, not the GT...but it should be the same. I used the NVInject Drivers..or something like that.

I'll look for the specifics when I reinstall it, because currently, I don't have it installed currently.

well, by using kalyway 10.5.2...on my laptop everything installed perfectly without a hassle, with the exception of sound.

on my laptop i have an 8600m gt...the same as yours except mobile.

try using the kalyway release..everything should work fine.

then just check around on insanelymac forums for answers for your specific hardware.

i think ive tried kalway.. i think i got the "still waiting for root device" thingy.
ive tried a bunch of different osx86 dvds and got the same.. leo4all is the only one iv got installed.
and ideneb i booted and it found only one of my hardrives wich i wasnt able to install it on.

for that error, you must have AHCI enabled from the BIOS of the mobo.

look for that option, make sure its enabled.

having a ATA drive also helps.

i used to get that error before I got this motherboard. i enabled ahci and everything worked fine.

i honestly think kalyway is the best release.
